Smart Battery Data Viewer 1.0 is a program for viewing data Smart Battery provides through SMBus. It uses Philips Standard I2C Parallel Port Adapter that can be assembled in one hour by person with no electronics skills and dose not require any hard-to-find components. SBDViewer 1.0 provides you with the read-only access to all the data listed in Smart Battery Data Specification Revision 1.1. All the BitFlags are decoded into human readable clear text.Tthe adapter must be connected to LPT1 with the following settings in BIOS: address - 378, modes - EPP or ECP. SBDViewer 1.0 can be run under the following versions of Windows: Win98/WinME/Win2000/WinXP. No special requirements for PC hardware. Full version will be tied to your hard disk. All customers will be able to: Upgrade the software without any charge when new versions will appear. Receive "Smart Battery Workshop Lite" or "Smart Battery Workshop Pro" just paying the difference in price. As a bonus customers will be allowed to register "Smart Battery Workshop" or transport "Smart Battery Data Viewer" to another PC in this case. Short description of "Smart Battery Workshop Lite": Supports all functions of the "Smart Battery Data Viewer" and uses the same Parallel Port Adapter with no changes needed. Allows user to reset the Smart Battery EEPROM to it's initial values. Manufacture Date will be reset to current system date. All error flags if such will be found will be cleared. So you will have a "brand new" battery after repacking. Electronics skills are also not needed. No editable fields. Just two buttons: "Read" and "Reset". For safety reasons the original memory dump is saved as a BIN file automatically each time the "Read" button is pressed.
